4. A complexidade do que está em jogo obriga-nos a superar qualquer maniqueísmo, seja ele descritivo ou moral, que não consiga ver/pensar o mundo para além dos "homens" e das "mulheres" como entidades globais, unívocas, definitivamente estabelecidas e operantes. O inegável mal-estar nasce de uma verdade muito básica que, não poucas vezes, algumas militâncias feministas resistem a encarar. A saber: não é possível pensar a sexualidade omitindo a sua inscrição em sistemas de relações que envolvem poder. Do mesmo modo, é preciso tentar compreender como os poderes inerentes às relações se inscrevem em todas as regiões do comportamento humano, incluindo a sexualidade.
